7 Essential Feminine Wellness Tips for a Natural Glow (Bloating, Hygiene & Self-Care)

Let’s be real: glowing up is more than simply looking good - it’s also about feeling confident and being in harmony with your own body

Here are 7 natural feminine hygiene and wellness tips that people rarely talk openly about and these can significantly improve your feelings, the way you show up, smell, glow, and your overall appearance.

Think of this as your inside-out glow-up manual.

Let us get into it 💅🏽

1. Switch to Aluminum-Free Deodorants/ Antiperspirants.

Our underarms are so close to our breast tissue, and aluminum compounds used in antiperspirants have raised questions among some individuals, which has led to many including myself choosing aluminum-free options.

As per breast cancer research organizations, exposure to aluminum is still being investigated, but I believe prevention is always better than having to cure something so try to minimize unnecessary exposure and that would be a smart move.

You can opt for deodorants that have 0% aluminum. These are safer and as effective. You can find them in all health retail stores and most supermarkets.

Your long-term health is crucial! and taking care of it is part of glowing up.

2. Try Natural Teeth Whitening.

Have you ever seen someone walk past, they smile at you, and instantly your eyes are drawn to their clean white teeth?

I sure have, and well, that kind of a bright smile is so attractive - and the best thing is, you don’t even need expensive treatments to get yours to be as white.

You can try a baking soda and coconut oil combo as your toothpaste, once a week.

  • Swishing coconut oil in your mouth can reduce bacteria, may prevent the buildup of plaque which can make your teeth look yellow.
  • Baking soda can help to scrub away surface stains from your teas, coffee, or smoking without damaging your teeth's enamel.

You may already have these ingredients in your kitchen, so go ahead and give it a try.

3. Dry Brushing.

This is a method that involves using a dry, stiff-bristled brush to exfoliate your skin and improve circulation, and you do this prior to taking a shower, no water.

I thought it's the same as using a sugar or salt scrub, but the difference is you apply your scrub with water or oil on your skin. These methods both remove dead skin cells.

So, if you're struggling with dull-looking skin, rough texture, and scrubbing is not giving you the desired outcome you can also try dry brushing.

Before taking a shower, use a dry brush in gentle upward motions on your skin focusing on your legs, arms, back and problem areas.

4. Cloves: The Underrated Secret Ingredient of Feminine Wellness.

Cloves are one of those hidden powerhouse ingredients that can do wonders for the body especially for us women.

You can use cloves:

  • As a natural mouth wash by goggling with it for 1-2 minutes after you've brushed your teeth. Since cloves have an antibacterial property (National Institutes of Health) it can help tackle bacteria that causes odor in your mouth.

  • To support your intimate wellness or ease dryness in your intimate area by regularly drinking clove water and sometimes before those intimate moments with your partner you may want to try ground clove with honey hours before to hype yourself up.

Consistency is key - this isn’t a quick fix; it has to become a ritual.

5. Support Your pH & Digestion.

I know the discomfort of feeling bloated and sluggish. The solution was drinking a glass of water with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (with the mother).

I prefer to have it before breakfast so that my stomach enzymes have been activated and ready to digest everything I eat throughout the day so that I don't feel puffy.

It can also help you with odor, from the inside out by reducing the growth of bacteria that produce strong-smelling compounds in your gut.

Yes, it tastes awful, but it actually does work.

6. Clean Underwear.

This one is so important. All of these tips are but personally this one!

Proper underwear care matters more than we can admit.

When you're washing your underwear always use fragrance free detergents.

You don't need to be rinsing them in fragranced fabric softeners because:

  • Fabric softeners will leave a coating on your underwear

  • This will trap sweat and moisture, creating a warm environment where odor-causing bacteria will thrive.

  • Strong scents might disrupt your natural pH.

  • pH imbalance can lead to vaginal odor and irritation.

And we do not want that!

What you can do instead is soak your underwear for 20–30 minutes in water with white vinegar and baking soda and thereafter hand-wash them or put them in a gentle machine cycle and note! Not together with your clothes.

This will help prevent strong odors or residues from other clothes being transferred to your underwear!

7. Daily Affirmations Are Part of The Process Too.

Before seeking validation from others, start by believing in your own worth.

Here's why Tyla (currently my favorite singer) is a great example for this

  • Firstly, you can see her confidence in the way that she presents herself in her performances.
  • Secondly the girl didn't wait for global recognition to be believe in herself, she put herself out there first, by posting on TikTok and doing the work that was necessary to get herself noticed.

And you want to know where all this success starts? It's the words you say to yourself.

I'm working on improving myself talk and here is how you can too.

Every morning stand in front of that mirror, look at yourself in the eyes and speak beautiful, sweet words over your body and your life whilst giving yourself a hug and affirm your beauty, worth.

Your mind is part of your glow-up. Avoid the regret of missing out by not letting ugly words sabotage your potential.

The Real Glow-Up Rule: Consistency & Progress Over Perfectionism.

None of these tips that I've mentioned to you are about being perfect. They are about continuously showing up for yourself.

You must invest in yourself. You must love yourself.

The change you want to see won't happen overnight but if you keep on showing up for you, it'll start to show and you're gonna love it.

Start small. Pick 2–3 habits and make them your rituals.

Your glow-up isn’t coming. It’s already happening.
